A good part of the world seems to be tying itself in knots trying to figure out artificial intelligence. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and have come to think of it less as a replacement for thinking and more as a surprisingly good writing companion—especially helpful given how much writing I do, both for grants and for my own sanity.
I never ask AI to just spit something out. I always start with my own ideas and drafts, then use it for interpretation, feedback, and sharpening the edges. Every once in a while, it helps create something a little different, like this five-minute podcast that walks through a new idea we’ve been developing.
In a small victory worth noting, one of our board members who is reliably skeptical of new ideas, gave this a five out of five for quality. The podcast explores new ways we’re thinking about documenting learning.
