AS220 Outing

Monday morning nine of us – four adults and five students – visited AS220. FabNewport volunteers Pierce Gafgen, John Collins and Peter Converse were pleased to see the space at AS220 to get ideas how he space at the Florence Gray Center might look. “I just needed to see it,” said John.

Pierce, who has an vinyl cutter at home, did a wonderful job helping Met students learn how to feed rolls of vinyl in to the Roland cutter. The students used Inkscape to make decals. Thanks to James Rutter, AS220 Labs Manager, for hosting.

James also ran the 3D printer. The students watched the machine produce a miniature squirrel with great interest.
