FabNewport with Ocean Hour Farm @ Ocean Hour Farm, Newport!
November 13, 2025 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
FabNewport is collaborating with Ocean Hour Farm’s education team to help create a new paid summer program for Aquidneck Island youth ages 16–19. To ensure youth voices help shape the design, we’re hosting a focus group on Thursday, November 13, at 6:00pm at Ocean Hour Farm (152 Harrison Avenue, Newport) with a small group of participants, who will share their ideas about what makes a great summer experience and how the program can best support their growth and goals. Pizza will be provided!
The program you will be helping us to develop is the first of its kind in the state of Rhode Island: a youth Permaculture Design Course. Through this internationally recognized curriculum, youth will learn hands-on skills for designing healthier and more environmentally-friendly communities.
Transportation available. Email fabnewport@gmail.com for a ride.
