Recently we were talking with a friend who is a school counselor at the local middle school. She shared how FabNewport learners carry something different with them into high school. They’re not afraid to push boundaries. They know how to exercise their agency.

A powerful example of that is Jessica, a longtime FabNewport participant. Last year, as a student at Rogers High School, she started a club for Latino students to support one another. What began as a small idea has grown into a movement—nearly 50 students now participate, creating a space of belonging, leadership, and shared strength within the school.
