I think of Richard studying rocket science at Cornell
Thank you to all who give so generously.
When I think of FabNewport, I think of kids who are finding their way and thriving.
I think of Gabby, the intellectual activist, now halfway through her junior year at Williams College.
Her sister Lacie, the thinker, carving her own path at Mount Holyoke, alongside Aspen, the artist.
Teo, a marketing major at Fordham.
Richard, studying rocket science at Cornell.
Raneem at Babson, earning national recognition as a young entrepreneur.
Debbie, a Holy Cross graduate pursuing neuroscience and education.
I think of Jessica, now a senior at Rogers High School, leading Latinos Cresciendo and helping her peers claim their identity and voice.
Caitlin and Nezi, winning awards in ROTC, with Xavier close behind, eager to lead.
I think of Danny, taking classes at CCRI and waiting eagerly to hear if he’s been accepted into the Newport Fire Department.
Katie, working at two nonprofits while pursuing social work and sign language.
Kristina and B., defining themselves as artists and creators.
These stories didn’t happen by accident.
They grew out of years of trusted relationships, hands-on experiences, mentors who showed up, and a community that believed in young people before they fully believed in themselves.
FabNewport’s work lives at the intersection of heart and hope. When I think about why your support matters, it is these young people named here. They are becoming, unfolding, thriving and stepping into who they are because someone believed and stayed. Your generosity and shared faith in young people is fueling futures.
Thank you for being part of this community and for believing, as we do, in the power of young people.
